ACTS OF GODINC.

Privacy Policy

Effective October 19, 2026. Plain-language summary first, details below.

The short version. You can play without an account and nothing leaves your device. If you create an account we store your email, a public display name, your game save, your settings and your leaderboard scores so you can play on any device. We don't show ads, we don't sell or share your data for advertising, and we don't track you across other apps or websites. You can delete your account and all of that data at any time from the Account page.

1. Who we are

Acts of God, Inc. (the "Game") is operated by Damian Slaczka ("we", "us"). This policy covers the Game as played on our website and in our iOS app, and the website itself. The data controller is Damian Slaczka; contact us at info@actsofgodinc.com.

2. What we collect

If you play without an account

We do not receive your game. It is stored only in your browser or app on your device. Our web host keeps ordinary server logs (for example IP address, browser type and the pages requested) for security and reliability.

If you create an account

DataWhy
Email address and password (stored by Firebase Authentication as a salted hash; we never see your password)To create and secure your account, and to send password-reset emails you ask for.
If you use Sign in with Apple or Google: the account identifier and the email or name that provider shares (Apple may give you a private relay address)To log you in.
Display name (you choose it) and a random account IDTo identify you in the game and on the leaderboard.
Game save and game statistics (progress, upgrades, lifetime damage, best event, regions struck)To sync your game between devices and to rank you on the leaderboard.
Settings (motion, text size, ticker, graphics) and your leaderboard visibility choiceTo apply your preferences on every device.
Daily challenge result codes you submitTo verify and rank your daily scores.
Reports you send about a leaderboard entry (the entry, a reason, and your account ID)To moderate the leaderboard.

What we don't collect

We don't collect your precise or approximate location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera data, advertising identifiers or payment information. The Game has no ads and no in-app purchases. We don't use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.

3. How we use it

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling or automated decisions, and we do not sell it.

4. Who we share it with

We use Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore and Firebase Hosting, provided by Google LLC) as our service provider to store account and game data and host the website. Google processes this data on our behalf under its Firebase privacy terms. If you choose Sign in with Apple or Google, that provider handles your sign-in under its own privacy policy. We may disclose information if the law requires it or to protect the safety and rights of our players and the Game. We don't share your information with anyone else.

5. Data on your device

The Game uses your browser's local storage (and the equivalent inside the iOS app) to keep your save, settings, tutorial progress, a list of leaderboard players you chose to hide, and a sound preference. This is strictly necessary for the Game to work. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. A service worker caches the Game's files so it loads fast and works offline.

6. What is public

If you have a leaderboard profile (you can switch it off in your account), other players can see your display name, lifetime damage, biggest single event, number of regions struck, and any daily challenge scores and result codes you submit. Pick a display name that doesn't identify you. Your email address is never shown. Players can report names or scores that break our rules.

7. How long we keep it

We keep account data until you delete your account. When you delete it from the Account page we delete your login, cloud save, settings and leaderboard entries straight away; copies in Google's backups are overwritten on its normal schedule. Server logs are kept for a short period for security. Reports are kept as long as needed to moderate the Game.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live (for example the EU/UK under GDPR, or California under the CCPA/CPRA) you may have further rights, such as to object to or restrict processing or to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. We use your data to perform our contract with you (providing the Game) and for our legitimate interests in keeping it secure; we don't sell or "share" personal information as those terms are defined in California law. To use any right, email info@actsofgodinc.com.

9. Children

The Game is not directed to children under 13 and accounts are only for people 13 or older (or the higher age of digital consent where you live). We don't knowingly collect personal information from younger children. If you believe a child has made an account, email us and we'll delete it. Playing without an account collects nothing.

10. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and stored by Google Firebase with access rules that let each player read and write only their own private data. No system is perfectly secure, so please choose a strong, unique password.

11. International transfers

Our service provider may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

12. Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, tell you in the Game or by email.
